Hi All,

It has been a VERY full few weeks!  Iwill start off with the two cakes I made for two sisters with very close birthdays.  One was a Percy Jackson themed cake with a sugar whirl pool in the middle of an open book.  The other was Twilight themed.  It was two tiers with a checkerboard bottom and it had the elements from the cover of each book all around including a blown sugar apple!  Both the cakes were chocolate and vanilla with decadent milk chocolate ganache filling. The cakes were suprises and the girls were so excited when they saw the cakes.  I also made a another birthday cake that was a calendar on a sheet cake with hand dusted fall leaves all around it.  The birthday girl loves to celebrate the whole month!  The last cake I made was another birthday cake, this time for a little girls first birthday.  It was Cat in the Hat themed.  It had the hat on top of a yellow  topsy turvy cake with blue polka dots and blue and black curlique ‘candles’ on top.  To finish it off there was a curly number 1 on top.   It was yellow cake with buttercream filling.

I am very excited for the Homeschool Cupcake Class!  We are making holly leaves, penguins, and melted snowmen to go onto the cupcakes. It will be very cute.

Talk to you soon,

Sidney 😀

Hello Everyone,

Right now I’m getting ready to carve a topsy turvy whimsical cake for a babies first birthday party!  I can’t wait to put it all together.  In the mean time, we have baked dozens of brownies and cupcakes for Halloween.  And made crazy chocolates for the holiday.  There are mummies, skulls, spider webs, and gruesome bloody finger to munch on.  One of my favorite activities this week has been to build a sugar garden.  It’s all edible and each element is a different flavor (raspberry, sour watermelon,  and cotton candy).

The Homeschool Cupcake Class is filling up fast.  Please email me if you would like to sign up.

Until next time…

Keep life sweet,

Sidney
