The Brevard Cake Artist’s Club meeting was a great success this month.  We had a great turn out and our members volunteered to help at the Brevard Day of Sharing this June (flices.com).  We are very excited to host a day filled with classes, fun, and networking.  Mom gave a demonstration  on Mardi Gras Masks that was very informative and perfect timing!  Next month the demo will be the use of edible henna designs on cakes.

I am gearing up for the Ocala Cake Competition in less than 2 weeks.  I won’t be entering this year, but will have a booth set up to demo my sugar and tools.  One of the show pieces I made for display is a Stained Glass Seahorse.  It is 100% edible sugar/isomalt.  I made it freehand without a template.  It looks beautiful in the sun.  Please stop by and check it out!  We can’t wait to see all our friends from around the state at the competition.  We will have 6 members of our club attending.  If you would like to enter or come and enjoy the competition you can find all the info at http://www.floridaiced.com.

Looking forward to the weekend with Rosann and teaching sugar classes.

Keep Life Sweet,

Sydney, Your “sweet artwork” is amazing! It goes far beyond cake decorating. You have been blessed!

This is so adorable. Your ideas and pieces are amazing.
Hey, Michele, good to know you are doing demos, too!
I will send a list of what we need for the Day of Sharing so you can get the volunteers you need. Thanks so much for being our hosts in June.
